Iritis and related symptoms

Post by I_Wish_I_Were_Rollin_In_$ »

I have had Iritis for about 5 years now. My related symptoms are 1. Prior/During flare ups, my hands (palms) peel for about a month. Strange isn't it? 2. Sciatic back pain begins. The pain is uncontrollable, and then disappears. Strange isn't it? It usually ends as the Iritis is clearing up. I am not sure if these links are valid, or misleading. However, the anciliatory symptoms came into existance around the same time as the Iritis, so I can only assume they somehow relate to the same underlying auto-immunity. Is this thinking correct?

iritis

Very possible. Psoriatic arthritis is linked to the HLA B27 haplotype as is Ankylosing spondylitis. Both present with iritis/anterior uveitis.

Where do you live? perhaps it is time to see an EXPERT in the diagnosis and treatment of your uveitis AND your related conditions.

wish you the best,
Mike
