Effect of iritis on conceiving

Hi
My husband and I are trying for a baby. I have suffered with bilateral Iritis for 16 months now and have been on steroid drops since it started and was wondering if this could affect our chances of getting pregnant?
Ive tried researching it but got no where and don't get sensible answers from specialists.
