My story here is much like others'. I was diagnosed with iritis after being misdiagnosed with pink eye. I am on my third doctor this week to try to get some help for this issue. I found a specialist through this web site.
I started having symptoms about a month ago. I had redness in my eye, stabbing eye pain, pain in my brow. After a week of this, I went to my GP and got sent to an eye doctor, who misdiagnosed me and tried treating it like pink eye. Things progressively got worse until I could barely see out of my right eye. I finally saw another doctor here in town who gave me the diagnosis of iritis. he said I had that from the start and that I have a really severe case.
Right now I'm on four meds — one for ocular eye pressure; one steroid; one to dilate the eye; and one oral steroid. Still, no improvement. Friday, I was tested for systemic issues and I get those results back today. Tomorrow I go see Dr. Singh in Kansas City.
So there's my story. I haven't seen clearly or w/out pain for about a month now....

Any chance of seeing Dr Joseph Tauber there in Kansas City?
do you have a history of cancer sores, mouth or nose? often the cause of severe iritis in one eye with elevated pressure right away is related to the herpes Sx virus. treatment would be with anti viral medications for a very long time to keep it in hibernation.
