New to iritis world

Post by flowerlady »

Hello,
My name is Christine, I joined this forum as my partner Richard suffers from iritis and is in the process of his third session with it. We both want to understand more about it especially when it comes to preventing the onset of an attack. Has anyone determined if there are environmental factors that can affect recurrence? My partner is 57 years old and the three attacks he has had began about 3 years ago. He has yet to undero immune testing to see if there is an underlying physical cause, but he is basically healthy other than having a swallowing problem and acid reflux. If you can give us any guidance as to what we should or should not be doing at this stage it would be much appreciated. He has been to see the eye specialist three times in the last week and is now on two eye drops one is prednisone and unfortunately I do not remember the name of the other at the moment.
A speedy reply by anyone on the site would be lovely so that he can have a quick recovery from this bout and hopefully we can have some idea how to prevent further occurences.
Thanks,
Christine
