one comment I have is that if a dog or cat is infected with toxocara worm or B Henselae etc, their fecal matter can be injested by a child which in turn can cause severe forms of Uveitis. toxocara is in epidemic proportions in inner cities in the USA (from the Center for Disease control, CDC here in the USA) in studies in Europe Toxocara caused epidemics of intermediate uveitis, Pars Planitis. Toxoplasmosis is another pathogen that causes uveitis in Children.
in the southwest of the USA, a fungus that causes Valley Fever can cause posterior uveitis that is very difficult to irradicate.

one thing the doctors didn't mention is that the immune system is produced in newborns throught breast milk. few mothers today breast feed as it is very difficult to work and breast feed a baby. We talk about HLA complex here allot and MHC is directly linked to this.
