NeuroMyeltiis optica, also known as Devic's syndrome and optic spinal MS.

this condition sometimes occurs in individuals with Sjogren's syndrome and Systemic Lupus erythematosus.
often Optic neuritis is a component of eye disease processes with dimming or color change occuring between eyes or transcient loss of vision. a blood marker called neuromyeltis optica IgG has been found which although it isn't always present can help in determining if this is what is going on. another name for this is optical spinal Multiple Sclerosis and occurs most frequently in Asian and African descendent peoples.
the above link also discusses forms of brain lesions, locations in the brain and differentiates them from those of Multiple Sclerosis. many individuals with Sjogren's have CNS involvement yet it 'isn't MS' is often the diagnosis leaving the individual up in the air so to speak. Testing for this marker and considering this additional autoimmune disease in the differential diagnosis should be done.
BLOOD TEST FOR NMO IgG:

(the above link is good: copy and paste it into your search engine as our site can't encompass such a long string msb)
Wishing all the very best,
