I would like to locate an ocular immunologist / uveitis specialist in the San Francisco bay area (San Jose / South Bay preferred, but willing to consider all Bay area options)
I've been treated for over 20 cases (HLA-B27 +) of iritis since 1996. Although most of them were mild cases, and I would like to consider solutions for the best long term outcome rather than continuing to resolve individual cases.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

If you can be seen at Kaiser, see DR Choi as he trained on the EAST coast and will treat more aggressively than those long time West Coast Specialists

Re: Specialist in San Francisco Bay Area
This post is pretty old, but I am looking for a specialist in San Francisco and I don't think Dr. Choi is still working there. While I was at the St Francis Hotel San Francisco another guest informed my of a few doctors, but she was kind of a mess and I would really love more opinions.
I am from Utah, but there are not a good range of highly talked of specialists here and I really need to see someone who knows what they are doing. I'll be staying at the Nikko Hotel San Francisco next month to look for a doctor, so any suggestions, please post! Thanks.

Re: Specialist in San Francisco Bay Area
you have an EXCELLENT ocular immunologist in Utah, DR Albert Vitale whom I suggest you make an appointment with.
his contact information can be found at http://www.uveitis.org in the PATIENT information section of the site on the USA specialist list. Proctor Foundation also has specists as does the University in San Francisco. Ira Wong is located in SF.
Wish you the best,
Mike
