Post by Mike Bartolatz »

We often get inquiries about the use of herbs and supplements for treatment of uveitis and associated illnesses. There is no proven role for the use of herbs and supplements in the treatment of uveitis and we strongly urge patients with ocular inflammatory disease to seek treatments that are know to help the illness ([link=www.uveitis.org/medical/treatment/default.html newwindow]Treatment Algorithms, by Diagnosis[/link]).

This useful series presents evidence-based findings about herbs and supplemnts and is part of an ongoing project at NIH to try researche these alternative medications.

These evidence-based monographs were prepared by the [link=www.naturalstandard.com newwindow]Natural Standard Research Collaboration[/link] for NIH.
