Hi, I have just read in someones post that the HLA B27 gene can be linked to a spleen disease? My father, sister and neice all have had a blood disease,sorry cant remember the name of it but it resulted in them all having their spleens removed, could this be linked?

Please ask DR Foster at hsi website above. any autoimmune disease process could be a potential cause of uveitis. Off hand I cannot think of something but that doesn't mean there isn't something out there.
