HI I AM CECE AND I AM LOOKING FOR ADVISE OR ....ANYTHING...I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH IRITIS 3 YEARS AGO. I HAVE HAD IT DIAGNOSED TWICE BUT THE PAIN IN MY EYES IS PRETTY MUCH CONSTANT.WITH FLARE UPS WHERE THE PRESSURE AND PAIN IS UNBEARABLE. I HAVEN'T BEEN LATELY TO AN OPHTHALMOLOGIST MD. THE LAST TIME I WENT HE THOUGHT IT LOOKED NORMAL. HE COULDN'T UNDERSTAND THE PAIN AS HE ONLY SAW A FEW WHITEBLOOD CELLS. I HAVE BEEN TO A RHUEMATOLOGIST AND HE THINKS IT ODD WITH ALL MY OTHER SYMPTOMS BUT NOTHING IN HIS AREA. I HAVE BEEN THROUGH THE MILL OF DRS...AT THE DRS REQUEST NOT MINE. I HAVE BEEN THE GOOD PATIENT AND I AM STILL IN PAIN AND INSISTED ON NO TESTS AS I HAVEN'T A CLUE WHAT TO INSIST ON. ALL I KNOW IS MY EYES HURT AND IT EFFECTS MY LIFE SO VERY MUCH. ESPECIALLY WHEN I AM SICK FROM PAIN.

Get to a specialist right away

Cece,
where do you live? pain is not normal. inside the eye it can be related to spasm of the ciliary body, dilating drops will help this. if you have cells they might well respond to cortico steroid eye drops too.
pain in the eye can also be related to Glaucoma, a consequence of this disease when it is improperly controlled.
an ocular immunologist or uveitis specialst treat this stuff for a living, not like general opthalmologists. there is substantial evidence available here to support an aggressive approach to treatment using MODERN methods.

let me know where you live and I will provide contact information for one of these specialist. you might have to travel but it will be very worthwhile to prevent loss of vision and to stop the pain.

Wish you the best,
Mike
