How often do you get flare-ups?
Hi - I developed Iritis in 2011 - first thinking it was conjunctivitis. I have had the steroid drops in case of a flare-up and almost 1 year later it has re-occurred. No cause for the iritis (no virus, no disease). How often can I expect flare-ups and is this permanent? Will I have this forever?

it is hard to say but you need to get an ophthalmologist to look at your eyes to see what is going on. the old steroid is most likely expired too and it could also be contaminated and full of bacteria etc as steroids don't kill stuff, they stop the immune system from causing inflammation.
it is time to do some testing too such as the gene HLA B27 and other things found in the inflammatory processes related to many other symptoms you might have.
wish you the best,
mike
