Mike thanks so much for your support with my daughters condition. This is all so new to me Im having
to google of course all these medical names, drugs etc. Its ALOT to take on board.
Can I ask though in your opinion is a month a long time to wait to see the general opthamologist. She
still has inflammation as per my last post. Am I being over cautious or appropriate in wanting to
get her to a Uveitis specialist given her history. Your thoughts would be much appreciated.
One more question Please!

Re: One more question Please!
with inflammation in the middle of her eye, the topical steroid will NOT treat it. another means of treatment needs to be done. call and make the appointment with the doctors I suggested to you. they are real experts, not just ophthalmologists and the sooner inflammation is quieted down the better. they can also help you figure out what is really going on and know what tests to order.
I only had ophthalmologists treat me and it cost me vision. I wouldn't be disabled today had I been treated aggressively with DMARD meds. glaucoma took out vision as did Cystoid macular edema and epiretinal membranes. I had intermediate uveitis too treated with topical steroids. I didn't know they couldn't reach the middle of my eyes where the inflammation was located. they caused glaucoma over time.
