This is my first post to the forum. I have had two bouts with Iritis since October, 2010. My doctor has been able to keep them under control with steroid eyedrops. I was at her office yesterday and she said my eye was clear - thank God. But now I have to wait to see if it comes back again. She has done a series ob blood tests and Chest X-ray for TB, but everything has come back negative, hence we do not know the cause. She said she will refer me to an Iritis Specialist at the University of San Francisco at some point.

I do hope that your iritis doesn't come back but it is good to know that your current opthalmologist will be willing to send you to an expert so that a corticosteroid sparing approach to treatment can be implemented should it return.
