Sprue like disease with Methotrexate use

I mentioned possible need to use Iron supplementation with methotrexate. the above article talks about a patient who developed sprue like symtoms (unable to metabolize Iron from inflammation of the GI tract) in which Iron injection corrected the problems of the GI tract and which brought iron levels back to normal. I had read about this in the past and it is why I spoke of possible need for Iron supplementation with MTX use. If I recall correctly there has been more than one case.
