Deirdre HulseyWhat is the sum?:7Eye Symptoms:I was dusting my desk at work had an allergy attack of severe coughing and sneezing and itchy eyes. The next morning I awoke to the most horrible pain I could ever imagine in both eyes, and light was not even an option. Now almost a month later I am still having severe pain in both eyes. Have been on 2 rounds of oral steroids, dialation drops every 6-12 hours and steroid drops every 2 hours in each eye. Have seen 4 different doctors for the condition as well as a trip to the ER. All say the same thing...it's just gonna take time. Oh how frustrating. Add friend
Deidra, Welcome to the group!
have you been tested for pathogens and systemic conditions related to uveitis?
did you ever have a case of 'pink eye' in your past that might have actually been iritis?
often allergic reactions trigger a return of uveitis. bacteria and viruses can also cause uveitis. often a sinus infection preceeds a bout of uveitis.
do you have any systemic condtion or does any of your immediate family members have an autoimmune disease?
Wish you the very best,
Mike
