AIN457 is an experimental IL17 blocking drug now in preliminary trials at various sites around the USA. By blocking the inflammatory cytokine IL17 other inflammatory compounds sometimes found in uveitis patients such as VEGFR, vascular endothelial growth factor and TNF A, tumor necrosis factor A, uveitis can be controlled and other complications may not occur such as cystoid macular edema.
so far this drug is working well.
