although this article and site are dedicated to cancer, the drugs used to treat cancer are now being used to stop vascularization of the retina and Cystoid Macular edema.
angiogenesis is the growth of new blood vessels and when they grow where they aren't supposed to grow drugs called Vascular endothelial growth factor drugs are now used. other drugs are also being developed.
