L-4F treatment reduces adiposity, increases adiponectin levels, and improves insulin sensitivity in obese mice

this compound also impacts TNF-A and acts as an anti inflammatory drug. it also lowers IL's and effects atherosclerosis

TIARP is caused by presence of TNF-A in adipose tissue which in turn can cause insulin resistent diabetes as well as collagen induced arthritis (see post on CIA arithritis and TIARP)
