Pred forte and cataract

Just curious, how quick can Pred forte cause cataract? Does it need to be a repeated use over months or can weeks cause it?

Nobody knows. No studies. I'd say you have50% chance
After year of hourly drops. One specialist said that inflammation is main cause of the cataracts not steroids.
Oral steroids also cause cataracts. The effects are accumulative. There is a new drug called reproxalap-on-track-to-supplant-steroids-. Does not cause cataracts.
Results of two yr study will be published. Looks good.

Nice . Any meds that can limit damage are well worth trying Incase if future flare up. That seems to make sense, I think you have to be using the steroid over an extended period for it to really cause damage. Thanks Vancouver !
