Iritis and astigmatism

Post by Samuraiilife »

Hey everyone ,

So I’m on my third week of battling my first iritis flare up, and have been on Pred forte drops and oral prednisone. Got checked today and the inflammation is all gone, except for some KP on my cornea and endo pigment, I’m assuming residual from the bad inflammation and the posterior synachaie (which released). My question tho is have any of you experienced worse astigmatism after a flare up? And could it just be because of the Pred forte drops, or is it a permanent thing ? I hope it’s just the meds that made it worse. Hope to read some of your stories on this. Much love everyone.

It took me more than 6 months to fully restore my vision.
This happened twice.

Learn to detect iritis early. You then wont need nearly as much steroid. Steroid causes cataracts.
To do cell count at homewhile you had cells so u know what they look like. Also monitor red. Draw map of blood vessels in each eye.
Noting the most prominent etc. Pull back eyelid 360 degree to do this.

The cells, do they Look like little circles in clusters ? And if I should spot them you think I should start applying the Pred forte drops myself once an hour ?
