Employment issues due to iritis

Hi. My position at work is under threat due to time off sick, mostly due to recurrent Iritis absences. Has anyone else gone through this, successfully challenged this or overcome employer reluctance to employ anyone with this condition?

I have a hearing on the 6th November; I have an recurrence of iritis which began yesterday...
