the blurry patches may be related to other long term effects of uveitis. iritis is anterior uveitis but the back of the eye can become involved causing things like vascularization of the retina to occur. Cystoid macular edema which is fluid build up between the choroid and the macular (area of the retina from which you see) can occur with active posteror segment inflammation or a membrane can grow over areas of inflammation called Epiretinal membranes which can cause traction on the retina causing it to ripple or pucker resulting in blur of vision.
specific tests can be done called Optical coherence tomography which can image below the surface of the retina and which can show CME, sub clinical vascularization and thickness of the retina.
fluorescein angiography where they inject a dye into your arm and then take photo's of the back of the eye can also image leakage from blood vessels and Cystoid macular edema
it is very important to determine the cause of blur of vision as some causes can lead to permanent and progressive vision loss.

wish you the very best,
Mike
