monthly flareups, both eyes

For the past year and a half or so I have had near monthly flare ups of iritis in both eyes, never at the same time though. I only just recently even found out it is Iritis, after many, MANY appointments with many doctors. I had blood drawn last week to test for hla-b27 and, surprisingly, my doctor called me today and told me that all the blood work "came back normal". I am partly relieved, but also partly worried. I wonder what else could be causing these intense, recurring flare ups in both eyes? I have been told is is extremely abnormal for iritis to occur in both eyes. I have been on a steroid eye drop for a week but I can't comment on how well it's worked as my symptoms were already on their way out when I was prescribed.
