Re: What to expect when tapering?
Vancouver tapering off oral steroids is WAY more difficult than tapering off steroid drops. You were lucky you responded so well.

Re: What to expect when tapering?
Yes Marilyn that is a big decrease. 2.5 mg every 2 weeks is a reasonable decrease. Maybe call doc and see if you can do 17.5 mg for at least a week. Then try 15 mg. for 2 weeks, then 12.5 mg and on down. It has taken me forever to get from 40 mg. to 7.5 mg. i am only going down by 1.25 mg. each week...

Re: What causes the blurry vision?
Good news on the diet...it can't hurt, right? Yes, i am dilligent too on taking the oral prednisone, but now that i am off drops it is sort of scary. Nothing to take right now topically. I was reading some people take NSAID drops like Nevanac. I will ask about this on Friday. It helps to talk to oth...

Re: What causes the blurry vision?
My iritis is bilateral, so both eyes are screwed up. I feel like anything can happen at any moment. We were supposed to travel to Italy in May. We are cancelling our trip, as I am afraid to fly that distance and fearful of being away from my doctor if something gets worse. I have so much anxiety now...

Re: What causes the blurry vision?
Marilyn, my eye was bothering me a lot yesterday, but today it feels ok again. I am going to see my doc Friday. If I learn anything about the intermittent achiness I will post. Hope we all improve. This whole eye thing has worn me out:(

I have zero cells present in either eye and am off steroid eye drops. This is bothering me. Making another appoitment to find out why this is so. ...

Prolensa
Has anyone tried an NSAID drop called Prolensa for maintenance? I saw uveitis specialist yesterday and both my eyes are still quiet. Relieved. We are trying Prolansa one drop daily to see if it keeps things quiet. Off the durezol. Anyone else try this? This drug is similar to xibrom. Update: Prolens...

Re: 2nd Bout of Iriitis in 6 Months
Makes sense. If i were in the city, i'd do similar. Also, wanted to mention when my husband had a retina problem associated with his HlaB-27 iritis they added another drop called Nevanac. It is an NSAID for eye. Cleared his retina issue.

Re: What causes the blurry vision?
The inflammation and the drops cause the blurriness.
