Re: My Iritis Relief Discovery!

I am ignorant as to why your symptoms have changed. I do not know of any mechanism of action that can be attributed to lowering your symptoms from drinking any 'juice'. just be happy that your eyes seem to now be quiet. if it comes back I recommend that you see a uveitis specialist, not just a run o...

Re: Looking for advice - recurring iritis

welcome to the group! I do recommend that you contact DR Janet Davis or DR Victor Perez at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. ONLY one of them in my lay opinion can figure this out and employ a corticosteroid sparing approach to treatment for you recurrent uveitis. you might explore other inflammatory dis...

Re: My Iritis Relief Discovery!

glad your iritis is now in remission, healthy eating can help keep inflammation down. should this once again return, please consider a visit to an uveitis specialist. the older you get with a history of uveitis, the harder it can get to get it controlled. the recurrent episodes can lead to changes i...

Re: Recurrent Bilateral Uveitis

the Durezol shouldn't cause the iris o be larger. are you still on dilating drops? if not you might call Dr Samson and see if he wants you to use them to break any adhesion before it becomes permanent. with increasing pressure he might also want you to use pred forte instead of Durezol with inflamma...

Re: Recurrent Bilateral Uveitis

With your medical family history, it is most probable that you have the IL23R gene which causes GI tract disease, psoriasis which can turn to psoriatic arthritis in about 15 years or so. sarcoidosis is linked to this gene as well as autoimmune thyroid disease - graves disease and hashimoto's thyroid...

Re: re-occurence

pigmented cells are given off by the iris. the adhesion is caused by white blood cells from inflammation.

are you on a dilating drop to try to break the adhesion? I assume you have a misshapen iris from this.

wish you the best,
Mike

Welcome to the group! with proper treatment is should go away. it may return however or be chronic for some time and it is impossible to say what the future holds for you. the elevated pressure and the constant red eye are of concern however. if at all possible you should ask about a corticosteroid ...

Re: blurry vision during use of steriod drops

yes steroid eye drops can cause blur of vision. usually dilating drops are added to the steroid eye drops when iritis is present to help to prevent adhesion between the iris and the lens. dilating drops cause a lot of blur of vision. hopefully your blur will go away in a few days or so. usually visi...

Re: Lupus Choroidopathy

hope the pain subsides some for you. from time I used cold washcloths and even ice packs to try to alleviate eye pain. just don't use an ice pack for more than 10 minutes with about 20 minutes between ice pack use.

take care,
mike

Re: Lupus Choroidopathy

Welcome to the group! are you taking a dilating drop while your eyes are inflamed? with iritis often a dilating drop is prescribed to relax the ciliary body. this stops some of the pain. optic neuritis can cause pain. my vitreous is trying to detach in both eyes and I get this type of pain from this...
