Re: Flare up in 1st trimester of pregnancy

I believe the ct scan was of my hips joints and lower lumbar. I will ask my uncle, he is a radiologist and did the scan for me. My biggest concern is complications with my vision, and possible vision loss. I have had a lot of issues with discharge in the the right eye, which is the eye that always g...

Flare up in 1st trimester of pregnancy

I have not posted in a long time. Since my last post I had a ct scan of my spine and the diagnosis of AS was false. So that was great news. I had not taken anything for iritis or arthritis prevention since December of 2009. In September of 2010 I got pregnant. During those 9 months I had one flare u...

Re: Can Prednisolone drops cause damage if no flare up?

Thank you Mike! I have had at least 8 flare ups over the last 5 years. No one has ever told me about pressing in on the inside corner of the eye. I will try that. This board has been a great help since I was first diagnosed with Iritis in '05. Since then I have tested positive for HLAB27, and was mi...

Can Prednisolone drops cause damage if no flare up?

I have early symptoms of a flare up. Head ache behind my right eye (flare up is always in my right eyey, never my left). And a little bit of watery eye last night. The redness hasn't shown up, yet. Since it is Sunday I'm not able to call my dr. I was wondering if I start using the drops and I am not...

Re: We need your help

Thank you Mike. I am HLA B27 Pos. What are the chances that I could pass this to my children?

Thanks,

Meiko

Re: We need your help

I would like to find out if iritis is hereditary.

"Did your parents have any eye problems?"
That has been a question asked by many doctors I have seen. My mother was adopted and passed away from a car accident. I never knew my father. So my family medical history is a blank page really.

Frustrated and new to the board

Hello everyone. I am a 33 yr. old female. I have had 5 flare ups of Iritis. The first flare up was after my mom died in '05, it was so scary, I remember thinking that I was going blind and might lose my sight forever. I am HLA B27 positive and have AS. I have been on (and off when I could no longer ...
