uveitis and blindness
there is an Ocular immunologist in your country of India.
contact information can be found in our Specialist list available at http://www.uveitis.org
once there click on PATIENT information at the top of the Homepage.
if cataract is the cause he would still have light perception. (the white of the lens would indicate possible cataract formation). uveitis can cause glaucoma, detached retina etc.
In your country there is a very high incidence of pathologically caused uveitis. progression to blindness can be very quick in the above instances with no know way to restore vision. perhaps in the future retinal implants will be available to help restore some vision but that is a long way off for the general population.
Wish we could be of more assistance for you,
Sincerely,
Mike Bartolatz
