3 months with iritis and not gone
I've been using prednisolone drops and taking ibuprofen for 3 months now and the iritis won't go away. As soon as I taper off the drops the iritis flares back up. I fear what the drops are doing to my eye. Will this ever go away?

Time to move to the next step
I'm not a doctor but would think that guidance from an uveitis specialist would help determine what would be the next step on the step ladder approach to treatment. Ibuprofen is NOT one of the NSAIDS used to control inflammation related to uveitis. Vioxx, Celebrex, naproxen, Indomethecin and Voltaren are those most used to try to limit the amount of steroid needed and then taper etc. Often other NSAIDS are tried one at a time to finally find out what works for YOU. if none work then you would proceed to the next 'step', immunomodulaton, vitrectomy etc to try to quell chronic uveitis. I assume that a trial of Oral steroids has been done and that testing for HLA markers and blood tests for related disease processes has been performed.
I hope this helps,
