Catching difficult iritis early is important

Post by vancouver »

My iritis normally takes 3 weeks of hourly drops to stop.
That's when I catch it before any pain.(about 5 days after seeing bit of red) This time, I caught it 1.5 days after seeing a bit of persistent red and only needed one day of drops to defeat the iritis. My iritis is very aggressive but is not chronic. I also noticed that if I pulled back the Iid at eye outer corner it was red. Once I get down to trace cells,
The red leaves so I know when I can stop the drops.
Magnifying the eye might improve detection of abnormal red. I have watched my eye 26 months and detected iritis two out of two with no false alarms. This technique is not as useful for someone who can stop their iritis with a few drops even when the iris is sticking. There is a learning curve to this.

I was down to trace on Wed, but can still a red outline around iris today, sat. Reading glasses and good lighting =less steroid. I don't know why I must reinvent the wheel.
