Wilmar Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins
My daughter has been seeing Dr. Heckenlively at Kellog Eye Institute in Ann Arbor---he is thinking she needs to see Dr. at Wilmar Eye Institute--believe the name is Dr. Nguyen. Any familiarity in this group?
Anyone familiar with this facility or Dr?

Dr Quan Nguyen is at Wilmer and trained under DR Foster in Boston and Harvard. he is an EXCELLENT ocular Immunologist.
but, there is an excellent Ocular Immunologist now in Michigan:

DR J, also trained under DR Foster and I have had excellent feedback on her. if you have to travel out of state, I suggest you travel to Boston however because Dr Foster in Boston/cambridge is the BEST ocular Immunologist in the World.
your current doctor, Dr H is a fantastic specialist so if he things you need another helping hand, don't hesitate, Does you child have uveitis or a possible other cause of inflammation inside her eyes?
there is a support group for Parents of kids with Uveitis at http://www.uosg.org that I recommend, I help out with that forum as well.
should you decide to see Dr Quan Nguyen or Dr Foster, their contact information can be found at http://www.uveitis.org in the PATIENT information section of the site. Quan is a Retina Specialist as well as an Ocular Immunologist. DR Foster is the top ocular immunologist in the World and is also a Rheumatologist and Internal medicine specialst. I know people who see either of these doctors and I have sent many people to them over the years. some would be blind today had they not gone the distance required to get their expert care.
