Hi, Everybody!
I want to welcome everyone to the group. You are definitely not alone in your struggles. Uveitis (all 100 kinds!) is a really rare set of diseases. Sometimes we find an underlying cause, sometimes not. It is the third leading cause of PREVENTABLE blindness in the Industrialised world!
It is scary, it is sometimes difficult. The most difficult part is finding out what to do about it. We have to learn to be our own patient advocate. So many docs just don't know much, if anything about Uveitis, or Ocular Inflammatory Diseases, period. This is a good place to start. We know how it feels to have these diseases, we know how badly good information is needed, and Mike does an excellent job of providing that info. Lurk all you want, read posts, but don't be afraid to ask questions, get answers, get and give support. We are all in this together.
