usually they wait until you require cataract surgery to break the iris free from the lens. if other surgery is done it is a V shaped section of the iris is removed over the place where there is adhesion. it would require removal of a lot of your iris in order to break this free completely.
you can have a contact lens painted to look like your normal iris to wear to make you look normal again. recommennd this over any surgery except cataract surgery in the future.

wish you the best,
Mike

Well, had my third injection. My "flare" is minimal and I can see a lot better. My eye is white and barely any photophobia. I had some puffiness around my eye for about a day or two post-injection. I had my last injection on Friday (7 days ago), and the puffiness had subsided within 24 hours. I saw my opthomologist on Tuesday morning and he said things were looking good except with my pupil only being 50% dilated, but shows improvement. He is away on training til this Tuesday. So, anyhow Wednesday night, I notice the swelling is back up in my perorbital region (undereye to above cheekbone). I shrug it off. Thursday, it is bigger, and looks greenish-greyish. It also has a whitish pinkish area on it. So, I go to on-call health clinic and the doctor there says I should see my opthomologist on Tuesday. But if it gets worst by tomorrow, I'm not sure if i should go into emergency out-patients. It hurts to touch and feels heavy. It also feels like its fluid filled, not soft like post-injection swelling. I would compare the pain to tender, pressure (feels like sqeezing a huge pimple), and bruised. Have you ever heard of this Mike? I know post-injection swelling is normal, but this is like a re-occurance and different (was puffy, now its firm). Could it be related to Iritis? Any key words I could research?

it sounds like post injection trauma causing a bruised area under your eyelid. but I'm not a doctor so get a call into him for input. if it worse today, go in to see him.

the posterior synechiae are caused by the cells often present in various granulomatus disease processes, this can be from any cause. if the inflammation returns, please go to the list of specialists at http://www.uveitis.org and get an appointment with one of them. you need more than steroids to resolve this,
