Looks like my one "good" eye is possibly having an iritis flareup. It's painful and light sensitive -- those are usually the precursors in my left eye to a flareup. VERY frustrating, as I'm right in the middle of a flareup in my right eye.

Message to Mike and anyone else: I've seen references to the Jules Stein Eye Institute here in Los Angeles, as well as to a doctor at the Doheny center at UCLA. Where do I look up the doctors you've recommended? I know there's a list on uveitis.org, but I'm not finding it.

Any idea which of the doctors in L.A. seems to be the most aggressive and "best"?

Just as I'm starting the first day of work at my new job. Hmmph.

Thanks, Nikki. I wonder if anyone has insight into the difference between Rao at the Doheny Eye Institute and the docs at Jules Stein? I really want the right doc ... but I suppose that's always subjective.

And I hope I'm not doing the wrong thing by using pred forte on the newly flared eye. It's not yet red, but the stabbing pain and photophobia is a sure sign that it's iritis. Better safe than sorry.
