Need Some Info - Eye best in the AM

Post by Vips101 »

Hi All,

I have had iritis since 2012 (4 bouts). I do believe that the onset is stress induced in my case, so I have started to mitigate my stressors, because life is way too short and eyes are needed no matter what, everything else can wait.

Long story short in 2017 I got one bout in Feb, but that retracted fairly quickly. Now I currently have one and my eye is not photophobic, not on dilating drops, just Maxidex ointment at night & Prednisolone during the day (once every hour) to be tapered down as per my doctors instructions to once every two hours soon enough.

I have a computer based demanding job and constant straining at the screens might not be helpful, BUT here is what I have been noticing. Since the last 3 days I have changed my diet to greens, probiotics etc only ..In the AM when I wake up, my eye sees very clearly say for 45 minutes or more, once I start the onset of the Pred drops, it starts to get worse and worse also by this time I am at work etc so looking at the screens might not be restful for the eye. It clearly tells me that my eye is crying out for rest, relaxation as post sleep I have best vision contrary to what was happening in the AMs a few days ago, where it was blurry in the am, would get worse as the day would progress.

Any comments or suggestions or similar experiences here would really help. Cant wait to see again and clearly and hopefully for a long time to come.

Thank You
