Update from mike
I know it has been a long time since my last post. My vision is deteriorating from diabetes and bp issues. I have probable sarcoidosis as an underlying cause as I developed hypercacemia from vitamin D3supplementation for low D3 serum levels.. also have all bloodvessels coated in calium including the brain. Good contrast medium for ct scans but can cause strokes. Wish you all the very best, mike bartolatz
Re: Update from mike
Hi Mike, good to hear from you and sorry some issues have gotten worse for you.
I just remember how kind you are. I was writing for awhile on behalf of my husband Tim who was diagnosed with autoimmune retinopathy and now has retired from seeing any retina specialists as he disagrees with them and chooses to live with he says is his undiagnosed condition. I recently attended a low vision group meeting in our over 55 senior living complex but most people have macular degeneration issues or glaucoma problems. We never made it to see Dr. Stephen Foster or Dr. Heckinlively in Michigan for further evaluation. He sees an opthamalogist annually who says he has healthy eyes in spite of the light sensitivity and blurriness but does not drive or read very well. He does manage to get on the computer and use the magnifier to stay interested in his hobby of collecting beer steins and will sit and listen to TV and now we enjoy baseball together.
Just wanted to wish you the best and glad you are still with us. We are now 75 and doing well, all things considered. In our community we are fortunate to see and hear all kinds of stories as people age. Thanks again. Peg Diesburg
