Leif RileyWhat is the sum?: 7Eye Symptoms: I have been told that I Have had Juvenile arthritis/iritis as an infant. I was not able to move my eyeballs until I was 4. I am told that I had severe headaches and joint issues (which I still have and that is why I am inquiring). A special diet for my blood type helped as a kid, steroids eyedroppers and special big glasses to shield me from the sun did not help. I no longer have a special diet and I am 37 yrs. old. I think I may have been misdiagnosed or that I have had my Iritis morph into Fibromyalgia? I have all of the symptoms and would like a consultation with a professional.

Leif,
Welcome to the group!
frequently Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis requires treatment into adulthood. uveitis can be difficult to control and the TNF-A blocking drugs Remicade or Humira are needed to keep the underlying JRA quiet to keep the Iritis quiet as well.
where do you Live?
an ocular immunologist may be able to help get that portion controlled and an experienced Rheumatologist may be needed too. we have a list of specialists that you can look through at http://www.uveitis.org located in the PATIENT information section of the site.
I have generalized muscle pain, cramping and neuropathy and take meds to control them. Diagnosed as a combination of Fibromyalgia and diabetic neuropathy.

Wish you the best,
Mike
