Treatment for IRITIS

I have had serveral attacks of Iritis since I was 16 & have been through the usual treatments using Prednefrin & Atropin. The Specialist I first saw strongly recommended rest when suffering from the ailment, which I followed til one time where I had other issues to follow. This attack lasted for over six months, resulting in a stay in hospital with the injection of cortosone into the eye. With no let up from the ailment I tried a Naturopath. He prescribed a homeopatic medcine & an EYEWASH. It was the eyewash which achieved a great result. Within a week my eye started to heal & the attack abated. Since then every time I feel the pressure building in my eye I use this same eyewash & within 30 minutes I feel relief.

I have yet to find an Eye Specialist who is interested in this treatment. I am not guaranteeing a result or a majical cure, but would be interested in finding someone who would be interested in exploring the possibility that this Eyewash provides a positive teatment for Iritis.

The eyewash is called Eyesbright & I can get the recipe of its makeup from my Naturopath so that someone can either try it themselves or research its benifit or not in treatment of Iritis.

My name is Steve & my email address is ssommerv@iinet.net.au

If it worked for you that's all that matters. Who can argue with such a great result. I have had some success with controlling my diet to stop iritis attacks coming on. I seem to have irritable bowel and have taken myself off gluten while I was still fighting off iritis. My iritis cleared up however I had a persistant headache and ache behind my right eye (the worst affected) which would be worse some days than others. After reading a book that my mother in law gave me (which I thought totally useless) explaining too much starch in diets can cause leaking from the bowel in some people and flares up autoimmune problems. (It is a lot more complicated than this but too long a story) The new diet cleared me of aches after about one week and I remained this way until I thought maybe I would try starch again thinking it couldn't hurt too much. I then quickly got back symptoms of aching head and eye. No more excess starch for me. Isn't it worth trying to see if other changes in your lifestyle may work before taking dangerous harmful drugs which seem to be a little excessive for the average sufferer.

We have been having an excessive amount of posts from individuals touting the benefits of garbage treatments for iritis. this sites goal is to prevent blindness from the use of shams and inadequate treatment. some individuals require very powerful drugs to quell the inflammation of chronic uveitis. if your choice is to eventually go blind then so be it but don't come here and try to sell crap.
this is not the place for you to do this and if you continue you will be banned from posting to this site.
