Re: drug research for fibromyalgia, AS, PSA, RA, SLE

The above biological treatment is now licenced for A.S patients (2016), within the U.K. I'm hoping to try it soon, as I also have A.S. Works in a slightly different way to the anti tnf treatments. Also called Consentyx.
Well found Mike & hope your keeping well.

Re: Curcumin use in Opthalmology

Curcumin didn't work for me but then again I don't have GI problems for which Curcumin MIGHT help when the NOD2 gene is present in Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. it has anti inflammatory properties. some with Sarcoidosis with GI tract disease seem to be helped with this but this is anecdot...

Thanks for the link. I don't suffer from crohn's, but do have IBS, probably related to my AS. Curcumin for me seems very safe, worth a try.

Hello all

My name is George, I'm a 45 year old male & a long term sufferer of Ankylsoing Spondylitis. I have also suffered from iritis in the past, now left with extreme photophobia within my right eye. I have seen prof A from the U.K. Whom I'd recommend to anyone whom has suffered from iritis. I work par...

Re: Fluorescent light problems

Mike,
Thanks for the information, I will let you know how I get on.
If the herpes virus was present within my effected eye, would the prednisolone treatment not have helped? Think Aciclovir eye drops may normally be used, which I have not had.
Cheers.

Re: Extreme photophobia & looking for answers?

Mike, I'm using a cat 4 tint, usual sunglasses are cat 3. Cat 5 are welding goggles, extremely dark. I even suffer from pain wearing my cat 4 wrap around glasses, but make my day bearable. Providing I keep away from day light, especially direct or indirect sunlight. Has been this way for around 5 ye...

Re: Specialists in UK/est Yorshire or Austria/Innsbruck

I would recommend Prof Ayliffe, based at the Lister hospital in London. I saw him once at Croydon (London) too, via NHS referral. Think that unit is closing soon to NHS referrals . You need to pay for a private referral at Lister. Paid private for my next appointment to see him at lister. I live wit...
